Cuba Rental Car Information

The prices are displayed per day and per rental car. The first day of the booking is decisive for the rental price.

Are you looking to collect your hired car in Havana and drop it off in Santiago de Cuba? Not a problem. Your car rental in Cuba can be picked up and returned at various locations on the island. Use the following table to determine how far you would have to travel and the one-way fee that would apply for your chosen journey through Cuba. With us, you'll benefit from greater flexibility at lower prices. 

• Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Your national driving license is sufficient and must be shown when signing the rental contract.
• Our rental prices include all kilometers driven.
• Only the category of the car can be selected, and not the specific make/model, due to the changing on-site availability.
• A deposit (150-450 CUC depending on rental car category) must be paid in full with cash or credit card upon pick-up. When the car is returned, the deposit will be reimbursed, assuming no damages have occurred.
• Full-vehicle insurance is required. For Economy & Mid-Size categories (15CUC /day) it must be paid in advance with the invoice. For full-size & Minivan categories (20 and 30 CUC/day respectively) it has to be paid on site when picking up the rental car.
• This insurance covers all possible damages, including those involving third-parties (accident, fire, theft). Please note: theft of tires / mirrors, hubcaps and / or radio / cassette / DVD players is not included. Damages caused while driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or caused by a non-contracted driver will forfeit the insurance protection.
• The contract is only for one driver. Additional drivers must be registered on-site and will be charged 3 CUC* (Cuban Pesos) per additional driver per day with a maximum of 2 additional drivers.
• One tank-filling must be paid at pick up which is approximately 45-60 CUC depending on the model. When the car is returned, the tank does not have to be full and any unused petrol will not be reimbursed.
• If the car is picked up or dropped off at an international airport, a supplement of 20 CUC must be paid on-site.
• If the pick-up and drop-off location differ, a one-way fee will be charged on-site.
• Unfortunately, it is not possible to rent navigation systems or child car-seats in Cuba.
• Minimum rental period of 5 days.
• 24 hours count as one day. You will be charged in blocks of 24 hours
• In Cuba it is not possible to rent a child's seat or navigation systems.
