With Eastern Cuba by Bike your adventure will start in Holguin and then you'll go to Santiago de Cuba, Cuba’s so-called ‘secret capital’. Afterwards we'll take you to visit the oldest city in Cuba: Baracoa. This coastal city has mountains on one side and the turquoise Caribbean Sea on the other. Many beautiful cycling paths through secluded coves and lush greenery await you in this charming town. Itinerary

Welcome to Cuba! We can arrange a transfer to the hotel in Holguin for you (optional) or you can organise transportation yourself. Unterkunft im Hotel in Holguin, 3* Standard   Verpflegung: Dinner
After breakfast, at 8:30 am, you will have a welcome meeting with your tour guide. You will prepare your bikes and start your journey towards Bayamo. After a city tour your bike trip goes on to Santiago de Cuba. Your first stop will lead you to the famous pilgrimage church El Cobre. Once you arrived to Santiago de Cuba, you will start to explore this passionate City with all its African influences. The rest of the afternoon you have free time. We recommend the Museum of the 26th of July (optional).

Today your journey starts with a bicycle trip to the beach of Verraco where you can linger. After enjoying the beach and a lunch the bus will bring you back to Santiago, where you can spend the rest of the day as you wish. Our recommendation: Visit the famous ""Casa de la Trova"" at night and enjoy Cuban live music.

Today you will cycle further towards the east. The bus will take you to your starting point from which you will begin your cycling route along the picturesque coast (approximately 40 kilometres). After a break and a bus transfer through the mountains you’ll resume cycling for a further 30 kilometres to Baracoa.

After breakfast you can enjoy a bike ride to Playa Maguana. The road leads you through the national park along the coast. On the one side you can see the blue water, on the other the wild jungle. After a swim you will be transfered back to Baracoa, where you can visit the town centre. Today’s somewhat hilly bike ride takes you through unique flora and fauna to Boca de Yumuri, a river estuary. This gorgeous natural area is the mouth of a river and home to many spectacular plants and animals. You will also get to sample a bit of the rural Cuban experience during your visit to the fishing village of Boca de Yumuri. Here you will have the chance to enjoy a boat tour (optional). In the morning you will leave Baracoa to spend the last day on the magnificent beach of Guardalavaca. You will have time to recover from the acitve week or take part in diving or snorkeling adventures (optional).
