You have the whole day at your disposal to discover the city. Take a ride with the famous red hop-on-hop-off bus and get a perfect overview of the city.
The historical city centre offers interesting places like the Plaza de la Constitución, Palacio Nacional, the Cathedral, Templo Mayor and the Palacio Bellas Artes.

Enjoy another free day. Walk around the city, there is still plenty to see or book an excursion to the pyramids of Teotihuacan (optional).

In the morning you will get you rental car and the journey begins!
The first destination is Oaxaca City. On your way take a break in Puebla. The amazing colonial city is situated very close to the volcano Popocatepetl. Puebla is a city of contrasts – the old city centre and the modern parts.

Today you can explore Oaxaca City. Since 1987 the historical city centre is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Observe the busy life and relax in a café at the Zocalo. After breakfast you will continue your journey towards Tehuantepec. This is the most difficult part to drive because of the narrow and winding road but worth is as it is definitely the most beautiful part as well. 
On the way we recommend you to take a little detour to Mitla and Hierve el Agua. Take a dive into the beautiful natural pools with an amazing view.

Today’s journey will lead you to another state, San Cristóbal de las Casa in Chiapas. First, head to the Sumidero Canyon where you can take a boat trip to the beautiful waterfalls and look out for the amazing wildlife!Afterwards it is just a short drive to the beautiful colonial town of San Cristobal de las Casas. Spend the day wandering around the city and take in the charming sights. Go to the local market and buy the most beautiful souvenirs in the country.

After breakfast you head to the warmer parts of the country – the destination for today is Palenque. About 70 kilometres before Palenque you can find the waterfalls of Agua Azul. We recommend you to visit the ruins of Palenque very early today, avoid the crowds and you may be lucky to hear some animals waking up, there is a lot of wildlife to be found in the jungle of Palenque.After the visit you will drive up the Yucatan Peninsula to Campeche where you will stay the night. In the morning you have time to explore the colonial city by yourself. As you walk through the narrow streets of the old town, a world heritage site, discover the fascinating stories and legends of pirates, conquistadors and the indigenous Maya. The city has conserved its huge bastions and ramparts which were formerly the city’s major defense, protecting its rich temples, plazas and palaces from pirate attacks! See the beautiful museums and take a walk to the sea. After breakfast you continue your journey. Stop at Chichén Itzé, the most famous Mexican Mayan pyramid and that has recently been declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit the main building Kukulcán and learn interesting facts about the former inhabitants. Today you will finally arrive at the Caribbean Coast. Go to Tulum and see the beautiful ruins just off the coast. The ruins of Tulum are probably the most photographed site in whole of Mexico, you will see why. There is even an access to the beach, so don’t forget your swimsuit. The last day of your journey has come! In the morning you can go Souvenir shopping in Playa del Carmen before you head to the airport of Cancún where you will drop off your rental car.
